Police have raided a pirate streaming TV service in Poland and arrested three men aged 30, 42 and 57. Authorities say that the provider initially offered accounts for free, then shifted customers onto subscription packages which generated the operators around 840,000 euros. A dozen computers, nine servers, decoders, and more than 60 storage devices were seized.

ISP: We’re Cooperating With Police Following Pirate IPTV Raid

This week police across Europe coordinated to shut down what is claimed to be one of the world’s largest pirate IPTV networks. Following raids in Cyprus, Bulgaria, the Netherlands, and Greece, TorrentFreak identified the ISP from where the illicit operation allegedly broadcast to the world. Located in a small Bulgarian town, the ISP says it is cooperating with the police to identify the suspects.

Europol Hits Huge 500,000 Subscriber Pirate IPTV Operation

A Europol-led operation involving police forces from Cyprus, Greece, Bulgaria, and the Netherlands, has targeted one of the largest pirate IPTV operations in the world. At least three people have been arrested. A company that sold Kodi-based software which accessed infringing TV, movie and sports streams has lost an interesting case featuring Dutch anti-piracy group BREIN. MovieStreamer claimed that it only provided a referral service to third-party content through a series of links but the court found that despite the convoluted process, it still communicated copyrighted works to the public.
